Announcement: New Principal Appointment

Stephen Le Feuvre

Dear Harvest School Parents, Grandparents, Family and Friends,

It seems like just the other day that we announced in November last year that Sean Moore would be taking up the position of Southern African Director for the Association Of Christian Schools International (ACSI) commencing in March 2017. As was noted by Mark Scholtz at Sean’s farewell this past month, this has been one of those happy sad moments. Happy for Sean and the call God has placed upon his life for this new season, but equally sad in that we will be sowing a man who has had a great impact on the school over the past 4 years.

Sean will certainly be missed. However, along with his leadership team and dedicated staff, there has been a great platform laid on which to build as we look to the future, a future which I believe looks bright indeed.

As one season comes to an end and a new is about to begin it is always evidenced by signs of transition. These signs are expected, quite normal and no cause for concern. This is equally true for us as a school and I would invite you to join me in welcoming the new season God is bringing us into as these signs become evident.

One of the foremost signs of transition is the confirmation of a new Principal and we are excited to announce that Mr Stephen Le Feuvre, currently hailing from the Western Cape, will be taking up the lead role commencing the 1st July 2017. Mr Le Feuvre has almost two decades of teaching experience and has during his tenor served in the capacity of Associate Principal of Parklands College Secondary Faculty and in the capacity of Principal of Parklands College Senior Preparatory. Parklands College is a school of over a thousand learners. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and is a passionate follower of Christ who is making this transition in response to a real sense of God’s call upon his life. We look forward to introducing him to you personally in the near future.

Until such time the School Board has every confidence that the team in place will continue to lead the school with excellence and we would encourage you to keep engaging with the Deputy Principals as the need may arise.

Once again thank you for partnering with us and entrusting your greatest assets, in the way of your children, to Harvest Christian School. Their future is as much our concern as it is yours and we will continue to strive in providing a service of excellence, as we partner with you, in preparing our young people for God’s plan and purpose in their lives.

Yours in Christ

David Walland
Chairman: Harvest Christian School Board
